Do they also have social gatherings and on-site activities that your loved one can participate in if they wish? Since staying actively social is beneficial for your parent's emotional and mental health, having access to these types of activities can help enrich their time living in the community.

Once you have spoken with the facility about health care and available activities for residents, you can ask about additional specifics. You and your parent may want to know about the menu offerings and any available amenities.
